How to apply
Start your creative adventure
Although the UCAS deadline has passed we continue to welcome new applications for our HE programmes until the 30th June, and for FE courses, until the end of the summer 2013.
Although we can’t guarantee a place for every late applicant, we do understand what a big decision choosing your study path is. You can make your application now via UCAS www.ucas.com and then come to see us, meet our students and tutors and attend an interview.
HE programme – BA (Hons), MAs, Foundation Degrees and Top ups
The UCAS application cycle is still open until 30th June, depending on the number of course vacancies we have. Apply now for our full-time degree courses – www.ucas.com
or to study part-time please apply direct using a College application form from our Admissions team at admissions@pca.ac.uk
Entry requirements
We recognise the value of a variety of qualifications and relevant experience and welcome applications from students who have followed less traditional routes. For further information visit the individual subject pages on this website or consult the Tariff Table on the UCAS website www.ucas.ac.uk
Portfolios and interviews
Your UCAS application will tell us about your qualifications and previous experience, but studying the arts is about more than can be captured on forms. We need to find out about your creative potential, your abilities and idiosyncracies, so we will invite you to attend an interview and to show a portfolio of your work. Treat it as a chance to tell us about your aspirations, and why you want to study at the College. It is also a good moment to find out what we can offer you.
Overseas applications
If you are a European or overseas student, we might ask you to submit your portfolio online or by post rather than attend an interview. Please contact Admissions for further info on +441752 203400 and admissions@pca.ac.uk
FE courses including BTEC Extended Diplomas, A-levels and Foundation Diplomas in Art and Design
For post-GCSE study you can apply online by selecting your chosen course within the course area and clicking on the 'Apply online' option.
Applications can be made at any time during the year but most interviews take place between February and June. Our form asks for details of your previous qualifications and any relevant work experience. You can also tell us about any learning difficulties or disabilities you may have so we can offer you appropriate support.
Not sure which course? Ask for an Advisory Interview
An Advisory Interview will enable you to make the right choice of programme at FE or HE level to fulfill your creative ambitions. Sessions take place in an informal setting and are independent of (don’t affect) your formal application. They are with a specialist staff member who will be able to look at and discuss your portfolio of work and provide advice and guidance about all opportunities and programmes within Art, Design and Media that are open to you. To book an Advisory Interview call in, contact us on 01752 203434 or infoservices@pca.ac.uk
